Nanny Requirements

• 2+ years of verifiable experience working with children 

• Background  & MVR Check 

• Willing and able to pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening

• CPR/First Aid Certified (or willing to complete before interview)

• 3 or more Professional childcare references (preference given to candidates with more than 3 references)

• 18+ years old and high school graduate 

• Family appropriate social media pages

• Non-Smoker

• Will not use phone/device while working for a family unless to communicate with parents or to conduct a work-related task

• Reliable transportation to/from work site(s)

• Legally Authorized to work in the US

• Ability to commit to family and/or agency for a minimum of 1 year

• Ability to conduct themselves professionally while providing the highest standards of childcare

• Hawaii resident or willing to relocate at own expense

We represent only the best nanny candidates in Hawaii. Preference will be given to nannies with more extensive work histories in nannying and with college degrees.

Here is the link to our nanny screening process so you know what you expect during the screening process with our agency. You must complete our agency screening process in order to be referred to any of the families we work with. Preference is given to nannies who are screened with the agency for any newly released positions. Please note, we are a referral agency and do not guarantee a referral to a hiring family nor employment with any family. Nannies who choose to be screened through our agency understand that we make no guarantees nor warranties of employment nor referral to a hiring family.

Paradise Nannies Hawaii does not take money from nannies for our services. Paradise Nannies Hawaii does not take any portion of the nanny's pay now or in the future. Nannies receive their full gross hourly rate from their employer (the family they are hired to work for). Families pay a fee to use our agency services, but that family-paid-fee never reduces a nanny's gross hourly rate. The only expense nannies have when being screened through Paradise Nannies Hawaii is the cost of their initial background check.
